MY STORY
As a Master in Public Administration in International Development student at Harvard Kennedy School, I aim to work in the intersection of technology and policy by using data analytics to address pressing development issues. During her 5 years of work experience with Axiata, a telecommunications conglomerate, I completed various rotations across Axiata’s South Asia and Southeast Asia operating companies, focusing on using analytics in audit, finance, and fraud prevention.
Most recently, as the Strategy Consultant of Axiata Digital Capital (ADC), Axiata’s digital micro-financing venture serving underserved nano, micro, small and medium sized enterprises, I led the loan securitization funding exercise to secure an A1 rating for ADC’s loan portfolio. Using technology for social justice, I have also developed a chatbot for migrant workers that serves as an information channel, data collection tool and multilingual reporting system for trafficking and forced labor incidents.
This summer - thanks to the generous support of The Germeshausen Foundation and The Women and Public Policy Program at Harvard Kennedy School – I will be working as the Product Manager for the Targeted Instruction Program tool created by the Centre for Economic Research in Pakistan (CERP). My role includes leading the app development for a randomized control trial to assess the impact of randomizing technology on student outcomes and the design of a machine learning recommendation engine based on test scores.
